If this is a common sight at your home, it's time to take your child out and into the lovely children story fest that is just about the corner in Mumbai right now...
The first edition of Kahaani Karnival will make its debut this 25th of January, Saturday, at the Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Vastu Sangrahalaya, Fort, timing 10:15 am till 7pm for kids aged 2-12 years. This will be at the Coomaraswamy Hall in the building.
From puppet shows to story readings to drawings and songs and much much more, kids and their parents (1 parent can accompany the child) will get a chance to get into the world of books and experience the magic. Over 20 artists, theatre personalities, authors, puppeteers and dancers will be creating a magical experience for the kids using methods like dance, acting, crafts, clay, song and theatre. Not just that, there will be walk-throughs through different parts of the gallery where kids will be exposed to the various stories that lie within the museum's walls.
The event is the brainchild of 6 mommies who formed the Kahaani Karnival, a non-profit organisation that aims to bring the magical power of storytelling to children.
Award winning author Payal Kapadia, who won the Crossword Book Award this season in the Children's category for her book Wisha Wozzariter, will also host a session on stories.
